First-Time Buyers
Helping You Buy Your New Home
We are pleased to advise that many of our homes are eligible for a range of Irish Government home-buying initiatives, designed to support individuals and families in purchasing their own home. These schemes can make owning a high-quality Arcona home more accessible, helping to bridge financial gaps and reduce the upfront costs of buying.
Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme
Under the Affordable Housing Scheme, local County Councils offer homes at a reduced purchase price to eligible applicants, helping to bridge the gap between a buyer’s mortgage, deposit, and the full market value of a new home.
Key features of the scheme:
- Homes are available at a reduced price for eligible buyers
- The Council takes an equity share in the property in return for the discount provided
- Buyers enter into an Affordable Dwelling Purchase Agreement with Wexford County Council
- Open to First-Time Buyers and Fresh Start applicants
- Designed for households who cannot afford full market value using their mortgage, deposit, and savings
- The property must be used as the purchaser’s principal private residence
